David, the founder of the comppany started collecting stamps at the age of 8. His grandfather Chet introduced him to stamps to assist in breaking up mint sheets to be used for postage. After working in the "Stamp Den" with his grandfather, and admiring the beauty of the US commemorative stamps he was handling, David was hooked. Through the years of his childhood, David would anxiously await the trips to "Grandpa's house" and could not wait to start working in the "Stamp Den" with his grandfather. During this time, he learned the basics of collecting, identifying, and mounting stamps in his own collection that was beginning to take shape. The knowledge, wisdom, and comradarie of his grandfather is something that continues to be treasured even to this day.

While continuing his stamp collecting hobby, David soon also began to deal stamps part time. He took tips from Chet, who was running a successful stamp business at this time. Soon, David began becoming more and more involved in dealing stamps, while at this time Chet was leaving the stamp business for retirement. David took the leap, and bought out his grandfather's entire business. David continues to run the company to this day, and his passion for stamps is unparralled in the stamp industry.
